The one you picture when you close your eyes and think wedding band — a smooth, domed half-round that never catches on anything. Comfort-fit on the inside, so you forget it is there until you notice you never take it off. Solid 10k, 14k, or 18k gold, in yellow, rose, or white. The band every other one is measured against.

Nothing is kept in stock. Each band is cut to one of more than two hundred and fifty width and size combinations — chosen in your karat and your color, and carrying the words only the wearer will read. This is where a ring stops being a product and starts being yours.

From whisper to weight
Two to twelve millimetres. Slimmer reads quiet on the hand; wider is felt with every gesture. Most choose three to five.
